Genetics throws me into existence
Predisposed towards behavior
To act a certain way
To react a certain way
This specific way is not an accumulation
But my personal reference of existence
Not an empty vessel to be filled
With some delusion of being
But a mold already cast
To be sculpted by my intellect
If I am an illusion, so is the community of selves
Together, we form the illusion of our existence
That doesn’t make it any less real
Because it makes reality itself an illusion
The thing that sounds profound because it is empty
Points towards the illusion like a litote that is overlooked
Through the smoke and mirrors of presentation
Talking about an I
And dismissing the second-person voice
For a smug and false third-person
That dismisses the second-person
For its right to the adversarial voice
Of the first person
I know,
All narrators are an illusion
We already covered this
It doesn’t fucking matter!
We are all in it together
Whatever the hell this is
Denying my sense of self as an illusion,
Rhetoric points towards nothing
A waste of time
No one is born with a blank slate
As soon as we gather awareness
We find our genetics already in action
Mind in action
Language acquisition functioning and churning
No make-believe
No two exactly alike
Because the mechanism is already running,
We become aware
Second person, the interior language of antithesis
I hail you,
You are responsible for critical thinking
Not the third person
The third person is the one we put on for show
For social media
The one that talks about the accumulation of the thesis
And then judges it
Ignoring the second person
Saying it is all an illusion
Like it’s supposed to matter
If you see the Buddha on the road
Kill him
Then take a big, deep breath
And let go of all the bullshit
You are supposed to believe
About something only you could possibly know
Including every learned professional who ever existed
That which only your birth could conceive ---
The real YOU!!!
Solid on one end of the spectrum
fluid on the other
*Again, there may be no I in team, but there is a Me.
