His eyes on the flag
his teeth on the bone
when people walk by
his trailer park home
He’s got a gun in the holster
a sign on the door
if you draw closer
you won’t be back for more
Many years I spent
decades hoarding fortune
for my retirement
But a man with a cross
and his mouth to feed
doesn’t care if I die
cuz his fear’s in need.
I passed his house today
that man with the hate
who can’t see his greed
He looked at me and grinned
just another sinner to him
who could never be a friend.
